Why Marijuana Should Be Legal

I hate the obvious hypocrisies in this world, one of the biggest I can see is the fact that a harmless herbal natural plant like marijuana has been demonized and criminalized around the world. It serves no purpose other than controlling peoples lives there are no proven health problems in fact making it a criminal offense causes more problems than it solves.

Here are my reasons, feel free to add yours or to disagree you know what to do the comment form is below.

1. You can buy a case of whiskey and drink yourself to death -- Try smoking marijuana or eating pot brownies until you die (you can't)

2. You can smoke tobacco and get cancer but you can't smoke marijuana and get cancer (unless you mix it with tobacco)

3. Marijuana is not habit forming and non addictive unlike alcohol and nicotine

4. Because Marijuana is illegal to buy it you come into contact with criminals who may try to sell you something much worse.

4 Legalizing marijuana will bring ta revenue for the government and save money in law enforcement activity.

Its stupid mad and ultimately futile to try to enforce any kind of prohibition, by doing this you just cause a proliferation of organized crime because trying to stop something does not stop people wanting it, just the opposite in fact.

God, The Acceptable Face Of Santa?

If as a mature grown up person we would be ridiculed and possibly put away somewhere if we still believed in Santa or the tooth fairy or even the Easter bunny.

Why then is it acceptable for us to still believe in God, he is just about as likely to exist as any other imaginary being. Isn't it time we treated these delusional god bothering weirdos the same as an adult believer in Santa clause, and put them out of harms way in a padded room of some description.
